SOAP STAR PATRIKA DARBO VISITS KATY MILLS AS PART OF

BREAST CANCER CAMPAIGN

WHAT: Local residents are invited to Katy Mills Mall on Sunday, October 17 to meet Days of Our Lives soap star, Patrika Darbo, who is best known as playing character Nancy Miller Wesley from this daytime drama. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month so Ms. Darbo will be at Katy Mills promoting the Positively Pink™ campaign that supports breast cancer research, meeting with shoppers, and signing autographs.

As part of the Positively Pink™ campaign, shoppers can visit the Positively Pink™ kiosk, located in Neighborhood 7 in Katy Mills, to learn more about breast cancer research, make a donation, and purchase Positively Pink™ specialty gifts.

The Positively Pink™ campaign was designed to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to breast cancer research and patient support. This cause is especially important to Patrika Darbo who has lost many close friends to breast cancer.

Meet Patrika Darbo, TV & film actress (recurring Days of Our Lives personality Nancy Wesley). She will sign autographs, at the Katy Mills Mall, October 17th, from 1 - 3 PM, in honor of her personal friends she has lost to breast cancer.

Patrika Darbo - recurring on "Days of Our Lives" , been on show since 1998 as Nancy Wesley.  In 2000-2001 TV season, she was voted as Televisions 16 Sexiest People by TV Guide and Entertainment Tonight. She was first called TV's First Bitch Godess of Daytime in 1999 by TV Guide columnist Michael Logan. In 1999 she won the coveted Best Newcomer Award at The Soap Opera Digest Awards and in 2000 she was nominated for her first Emmy in the role of Nancy Wesley. Her past TV credits include:  Seinfeld, Step By Step, Gilmore Girls, Roseanne, she also played Roseanne Barr in the made-for TV movie, THE ROSEANNE BARR STORY on NBC. Her film credits include: Daddy's Dyin Whose Got The Will, Babe, Midnight In The Garden of Good And Evil, Speed2, and more. She's currently in development producing and writing her own scripts for features and TV.
