A Campaign Raising Awareness and Support for Breast Cancer
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 23, 2004) – Positively Pink , a campaign designed by AccessTalent to promote awareness, education and fundraising for breast cancer research, will launch Valentine's weekend. “This unique campaign will touch so many lives just as Minnie Pearl did through her generosity, compassion and humor,” said Amy Grant, spokesperson and supporter of Positively Pink .
The participating restaurants for the Positively Pink campaign, Mère Bulles, Merchants and Princeton's Grille, have agreed to offer a special menu in which 15 percent of the proceeds benefit The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation. The dining experience will include dinner from the Positively Pink specialty dinner menu and a box full of goodies from sponsors, friends and patrons of the campaign that will simply thank restaurant guests for participating in Positively Pink . The box will also provide additional information about breast cancer and The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation.
Special thanks to our sponsors Dianne Clayton with Crye-Leike Realty, Crosslin, Vaden & Associates, Backyard Technologies, Matchless Limousines, American Airlines, Daskalides Fine Belgian Chocolates and Word Entertainment.
The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to funding programs that provide the greatest benefit to cancer patients and their families, including new programs in cancer research, education, and patient and family services. All of these are done in memory of internationally known comedienne Minnie Pearl.
