Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation to launch cancer awareness campaign
The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation will launch its Positively Pink campaign the second weekend of February. The goal is to promote awareness, education, and fundraising for breast cancer research.
"This unique campaign will touch so many lives, just as Minnie Pearl did through her generosity, compassion and humor," says Amy Grant, spokeswoman for the campaign.
Participating restaurants, Mére Bulles, Merchants and Princeton's Grille, have agreed to offer a special menu for the campaign and 15 percent of the proceeds will benefit the Minnie Pearl foundation. Diners will receive a specialty dinner menu and gift box from sponsors as well as information about breast cancer and the foundation.
The campaign was developed by Nashville-based AccessTalent.
Sponsors include Crye-Leike realty, Crosslin Vaden & Associates, Backyard Technologies, Matchless Limousines, American Airlines, Daskalides Fine Belgian Chocolates and World Entertainment.
The Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on raising funds for cancer research, and education as well as patient and family services.
